TB Alert India is registered under India Trust Act and is partner of TB Alert UK, a charity dedicated towards fighting TB worldwide. Within India we work to strengthen the implementation of the Revised National TB Control Programme (RNTCP), and are committed to working at a grass-root level. This means we provide technical support to local NGO’s to help them in starting TB interventions as well as running our own diagnosis and treatment clinics. We aim to bring free TB diagnosis and treatment to vulnerable and often inaccessible communities that are most at risk from the disease.

We currently have seven projects working within India and cover a population of over 3.5 million people. Our projects are all community based approaches and usually include the setting up of new microscopy centres within vulnerable communities in order to provide free diagnosis and treatment.
